Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Contractor Personnel Position Overview: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking qualified candidates to fill roles within its security operations: Role Player Personnel. The selected contractor personnel will be responsible for supporting TSA's mission by ensuring the security of transportation systems and contributing to a safe travel environment.
- Role Player Personnel : Participate in training exercises by role-playing various scenarios to aid in TSA security training. Follow instructions carefully and perform physical roles accurately to simulate real-life situations for TSA personnel training.
- Locations : College Park, GA; Coppell, TX; San Antonio, TX; Atlantic City, NJ;
Minimum Requirements for All Contractor Personnel: - Age : Must be at least 18 years of age.
- US Citizen
- Driving License : Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license by the time of hire.
- Substance Abuse : Must have no record or conviction of drug or alcohol abuse.
- Criminal Record : Must have no criminal record, except for minor traffic offenses. Note that minor traffic offenses do not include driving under the influence. Additionally, there should be no conviction of a felony, misdemeanor, or domestic violence.
- Language Proficiency : Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a high school level.
- Security Clearance : Must receive a favorable "eligibility of determination" suitability check through the TSA Office of Personnel Security (PerSec).
- Compliance : Adhere to any other hiring requirements established by the contractor.
Additional Responsibilities: - Change in Status Notification: The contractor must notify the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) immediately (within 24 hours) if any employee's status changes with respect to the requirements listed above. The Role Play is responsible for communicating these changes to the employer within 24 hours of the change.
- Background Screening: The Role Player must be willing to undergo screening for potential felony or misdemeanor convictions or any other criminal records.
Working Conditions: - Must be able to work in various environments related to transportation security operations. (environmental conditions)
- Must be willing to undergo thorough background checks and security screenings.
- Good physical conditioning and stamina required
- Able to perform required physical actions, including but not limited to the following:
- Walking and standing for an extended period of time, sprinting/running, lifting and carrying objects with varying weight, stopping and bending, squatting, reaching, put on knees on the ground, handcuffed, etc.
- Able to perform weapons handling related tasks, including firing blanks firing weapons
- Able to be handcuffed and searched, as scenario dictates
- Able to sit through multiple consecutive roleplaying scenarios for an extended period time, such as interviews and interrogations (may last up to 2-3 hours)
- Able to withstand hot/cold weather
