About the Role: We seek a highly motivated and experienced fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy and operations. This is a ground-floor opportunity with significant equity-based compensation and substantial growth potential. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is comfortable with equity as primary compensation during the company's early stages. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility and remote work options.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies including long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Oversee financial functions such as accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Implement internal controls and manage financial risks.
- Manage the company's equity program, including stock options, investor relations, and compliance with equity regulations. Experience with equity fundraising is essential.
- Lead fundraising initiatives, develop investor presentations, and negotiate with investors.
- Establish KPIs to monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Offer data-driven insights to leadership.
- Contribute to M&A strategies, conducting due diligence and financial analysis for potential acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Proven CFO or senior financial leadership experience in startups; fractional CFO experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial principles including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
- Deep knowledge of equity-based compensation and financing.
- Successful track record in raising capital for early-stage companies.
- Excellent communication skills, experience with investor relations and board communication.
- Experience in fractional or consulting roles.
- Passion for technology-driven solutions and heavy industries.
