Burlington Materials is a full-service design focused company for both indoor and outdoor products for residential and commercial markets. The design center is now focusing from cabinetry, appliances, flooring, countertops, and plumbing. Outdoor products include pavers, pool copings, and architectural elements.

We specialize in supplying a vast array of natural stones from all over the globe, including countries like Brazil, India, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Spain, Mexico, Egypt, France, and Indonesia. Our ability to service our clients with natural stone products for both Indoor and Outdoor applications make us unique. Our strength lies in bringing unique & new products in various finishes and sizes. Our indoor product lines ranges from tiles, mosaics to quartz, granite, and marble slabs. Our Outdoor product line includes vast variety of Ledger stone, flagstone, pool coping, Columns, Pavers, Cobbles, stone patterns, and Premium Pebbles.

Burlington Hardscapes is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager in Hardscapes Division, to join our team. Irving, Texas.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for selling Burlington Materials landscape/outdoor products in Hardscapes.
  • Responsible for building a customer base for repeat business in the sales territory, building long-term relationships with them, and securing orders for BDG.
  • Maintain company established sales targets.
  • Main detailed knowledge of Burlington Materials products.
  • Coordinate efforts with management to acquire new business and resolve customer concerns in a prompt, professional and timely manner.
  • Organize and attend sales meetings once a week with sales team.
  • Establish sales objectives and forecasts to achieve budget goals.
  • Must be able to take initiative and manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Generate new business opportunities to drive pipeline growth.
  • Motivate sales team to increase their sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs.
  • Manage and grow the sales of the company by planning, implementing, and managing sales, marketing, and product development programs.
  • Develop technical specification to meet project requirements.
  • Introduce new products and concepts to new customers and new markets.
  • Manage sales representatives and agents.
  • Set target sales margins in line with business strategies and market conditions.
  • Conduct competitive market intelligence; analyze and adjust positioning to grow market leadership.
  • Forecast sales trends, sales dollars / margins and communicate competitive situations.
  • Assist in preparation of quotations/proposals and follow up as required.
  • Support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
  • Attend and help coordinate trade shows, related conventions, and customer events, to promote our products and services.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND CRITICAL SKILLS**

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business or Marketing
  • A minimum of 2 years’ hardscapes sales management experience
  • Knowledge of Landscape Outdoor products
  • Proven track record of sales
  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications
  • Results-driven and self-motivated
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must have strong business acumen, communication skills, customer/client focused, strong presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to change.
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and sound work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Cold call sales experience a must
