Primary Responsibilities Manage deck operations and oversee crews during pile installation/extraction and during all construction modes of operation. Serve as a working supervisor on deck with the crew when not performing other duties. Controlallcraneliftingoperationsusinghand/radiosignals. Controlordesignateallmooringoperationsofthebargeforend/beginningofshifts. Ensurethereareadequate,qualifiedcrewstocarryoutsafeandefficientoperations AstheBargeSuperintendent'srepresentative,supervisetheoverallsafeinstallationoftheproject,asspecifiedbytheprojectInstallationProcedures ResponsibleforrefusingunsafeworkandforcarryingoutallworkinaccordancewithestablishedSafetyStandardsandworkpractices ResponsibleforfollowingtheinstructionsandfulfillingtheresponsibilitieswithintheEmergencyResponseproceduresandadvisingcrewsontheirresponsibilities Responsibleforthemaintenanceandrepairofallpiledrivingequipment,crane,andbarge.Keepdiligentrecordsofmaintenanceandsafetyinspections. Inconjunctionwithcraneoperator,inspectriggingfordeficiencies,identifyandreplace/repairasneeded. Responsibleforthesafeloadingandunloadingofequipmentontransporttrucksensuringthatnoloadleavesoverweightoroverheight. Buildjob‐specificwoodformsandassemblecommercially availableformsystems.Setandtiesteel,asrequired.Erectandwreckallforms. Pour,gradeandfinishconcrete. Loadandunloadmaterials.Shoveldirt,gravelandasphaltandperformgeneralhousekeepingandcleanupofthejobsite. Checkandmaintaingradestakesandothersurveymarkings. Responsibleinprovidingqualityworkmanship,efficientproductivity,andsafeworkingenvironment. Responsibleforconductingsafety“tool”boxmeetingsweeklyaswellasspecificincidentmeetingsasrequired. Reportsdailyactivities,projectprogress,crewworkingtimesetc.toprojectmanager. AttendsPreconstruction/weeklyconstructionmeetingsasrequired. Providesinputastooingress/egressforequipmentonnewprojects. Keepsanaccurateinventoryofalltools,repairsandreplacesasnecessary. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years or more of Pile Barge Superintendent related experience, with an emphasis in Marine Construction, Pile Driving, Pier Construction, and Marina Installation.
