Job Summary:

The position is responsible for hands-on experimental work in a laboratory setting, focused on developing innovative enzyme-based product applications for the food industry. The role involves supporting technical sales, collaborating with customers, and contributing to new product development from concept through commercialization. The individual will also provide scientific data for marketing purposes, build partnerships with research institutions, and maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory research to develop at least two new enzyme applications annually.
• Support technical sales by responding to customer requests and participating in joint R&D projects.
• Assist in designing new blended enzyme products and pilot plant trials.
• Provide scientific data for promotional materials and webinars.
• Build relationships with external research institutions.
• Maintain laboratory operations, equipment, safety, and accurate documentation.
• Submit regular reports and promote a collaborative work environment.
• Adhere to GMP, SQF, and food safety standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Food Science.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with analytical instruments (GC, HPLC, spectrophotometer) preferred.
• Knowledge of dairy proteins is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Primarily lab-based (approx. 75% of time).
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Must report any food safety issues promptly.
