Location: NYC - Midtown (Hybrid)

Compensation: $85K-$160K base (dependent on experience) + 15%-20% discretionary bonus

Overview:

We are currently seeking a paralegal to join the legal department of a multi-billion dollar hedge fund in New York to work on a variety of projects such as negotiating and drafting NDAs / confidentiality agreements and vendor agreements. The candidate will work directly with the Assistant General Counsel. An ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, hardworking, and responsive. The position is based in New York; however, the candidate will interface with global offices. A successful candidate will be well organized, tech-savvy and have the ability to investigate the facts of a project, ensure key business, and legal questions are answered, risks are properly vetted and approved before any contracts are signed and relevant deadlines are met. This is a fast-paced environment where the candidate will learn about the hedge fund industry as well as work on a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate contracts, including but not limited to, NDAs / confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Assist with the organization of vendor contracts and contract negotiations.
• Schedule meetings and calls with vendors and counsel.
• Support document drafting and corporate tasks under legal supervision.
• Coordinate legal projects across offices.
• Maintain policies, manage vendor contracts, and update templates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university (required)
• 1-8 yrs in a legal role specifically within financial services field.
• Candidates are required to know how to draft NDAs, and have previous exposure with vendor contracts
