Join to apply for the GRC Analyst role at Apex Systems Job #: 3009968 Role: Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst Location: Arlington, VA (2 days onsite) Summary: Apex Systems is seeking a mid-level GRC Analyst to join an Information Security team at one of our financial services clients, to support the continued maturity of our governance, risk, and compliance program. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who can balance structure with flexibilitysomeone who can gather and organize evidence, maintain compliance documentation, and contribute to a strong control environment within our Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Qualifications & Experience 35 years of experience in GRC, IT audit, compliance, or information security. Strong organizational and documentation skillsable to manage evidence and artifacts systematically. Familiarity with CIS Controls and similar frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, etc.). Experience working with Microsoft 365 tools (especially Power Automate and Power BI). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, with a process-oriented mindset. Responsibilities Support the execution and maintenance of the organizations CIS Controls (IG1 & IG2) and overall GRC program. Conduct evidence collection, validation, and organization for audits and control assessments. Maintain documentation for policies, standards, procedures, and compliance reports. Use Microsoft 365 toolsincluding Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Liststo manage controls, automate workflows, and maintain accurate dashboards. Participate in risk and compliance reviews, control assessments, and audit remediation activities. Track and report compliance metrics, helping maintain real-time visibility through Power BI dashboards. Collaborate with IT, Risk, and Internal Audit teams to ensure proper control alignment and documentation. Assist in updating and maturing compliance-related process documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the GRC function.
