Environmental Co-op

The Environmental Co-op is a co-operative learning experience for a Laboratory-Science curriculum student in the Environmental or Wastewater Treatment areas, that supports the critical water system balance needs and Environmental Management System initiatives of our Menasha Wisconsin Paper Mill facility.

About the Role

The Environmental Co-op works with operators, Environmental Engineers, and other operations leaders to support sustainability initiatives and daily water system data collection necessary for efficient operations.

What You Will Do

• Collect data and perform tests on Water system, final effluent, solid and in-process waste streams

• Perform trend analysis on related data to understand and predict system health and stability

• Identify improvement opportunities and work with Engineers, Utilities, and Environmental Team to develop scientific-method based trials

• Conduct waste audits, complete Environmental documentation, follow through on improvement initiatives in alignment with ISO 14001 standards.

• Maintain main lab equipment and supplies

• Support site Safety initiatives

Who You Are

Undergraduate college student enrolled in a 4 year Engineering or Environmental Science program in the areas of Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, Environmental Engineering, or other related lab science, able to work a 40 hour -per- week position on site in Wisconsin from January-August 2025.
