The Category Analyst will be responsible for collecting data from various sources (Circana, Nielsen, consumer data, wholesale shipment data, etc.) to identify opportunities for Red Bull in areas such as volume, market share, promotions, pricing, and shelf space. The primary focus of the Category Analyst is to transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and drive volume growth for their assigned accounts.
CATEGORY MANAGEMENT
Offer Category Management insights to key customers, driving discussions centered on opportunities for category growth.
Develop, enhance, and present regular category reviews, plans, and strategies to retail partners.
Transform insights into actionable initiatives with retailers by implementing, analyzing, and assessing category plans.
Strategically craft customer-focused Category Management business plans aligned with the customers' overarching business objectives.
ANALYSIS
Identify performance gaps in areas such as volume, market share, pricing, promotion, shelf space, and product distribution.
Develop and implement solutions, while tracking, measuring, and communicating the outcomes.
Analyze consumer and shopper data to uncover insights and identify opportunities for growth.
Conduct post-program results analysis to evaluate effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Manage and maintain databases, reports, and applications to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Provide analytical support and actionable insights to assist in the development of category initiatives.
PARTNERSHIPS
Establish and maintain partnerships with Sales Leaders and Retail Partners to develop strategic plans for category management within the customer team.
Utilize a variety of category management tools for special projects, aiming to increase team productivity.
Provide support to sales teams by addressing ad hoc data requests, answering inquiries, and delivering basic technical assistance and analysis.
Coordinate efforts and communications to ensure all informational and analytical needs are fulfilled.
Meet team requirements promptly and efficiently, showcasing a sense of urgency, persistence, and dedication to quality and customer service.
Assist account teams with system applications, data access and usage, and information requests.
Build and strengthen relationships with all Headquarter Category teams, sharing best practices and resources effectively.
REPORTING
Establish best practices for reporting and take responsibility for updating reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
Generate reports using syndicated and internal sales sources to support Red Bull's category development strategy.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the consumer goods industry, including trade classes, customer groups, product categories, competitive products, strategies, and emerging industry trends.
Familiarity with syndicated data sources such as IRI and Nielsen is necessary.
Experience in customer-facing roles is essential.
Proven track record of developing fact-based sales presentations and the ability to utilize various tools to address challenges effectively.
Capability to analyze results, draw conclusions, provide recommendations, create persuasive presentations, and deliver actionable plans to customers.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in an engaging, persuasive, and clear manner to establish rapport and foster understanding.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is considered an advantage.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
