Web Applications Developer

Years of Experience: 5+ year of experience as a Web Applications Developer.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Z FEDERAL is seeking a part-time Web Applications Developer to support our federal clients. The successful candidate must have experience developing new web applications in Drupal and transitioning from previous versions of Drupal or other content management systems to Drupal 10.0.. The candidate will participate in agile development sprints. The candidate will perform maintenance on the current application both front and back end.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Solid understanding of Drupal 9.0 and Drupal 10.0
• Define, design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance applications and tools.
• Ensure all published web products adhere to best practices, agency guidelines, and section 508 accessibility standards
• Write technical software requirements/specifications and document code.
• Make data available through Open Data tools, APIs, and data query tools

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Web Developer.
• Agile experience (JIRA experience preferable, but not required).
• Demonstrated excellence in developing web-based user interface and back-end software modules.
• Expertise in building scalable, extensible and user-friendly web applications.
• Solid oral and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences.
• Expertise using PHP, Slim API, Vanilla React, Type Script (Type API), GitHub, and My SQL.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.
• Experience designing software platforms and implementing APIs.

Able to design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements moderately complex to highly complex software applications.
