Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor FLSA/Grade: Exempt/Salary

Reports to: Director of Operations Department: Warehouse

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting management with the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse by performing the following duties.

The position of Warehouse Supervisor is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week.

The Warehouse Supervisor shall be accountable and supervised by the Director of Operations.

• Organizes and delegates work assignments to employees as needed.
• Solves warehouse problems such as product discrepancies and employee problems in an efficient and timely manner.
• Develops and maintains an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, termination, motivation and review of all employees.
• Develops and maintains a program for sound employee relations with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Provides guidance and direction to employees to assist them in their professional development.
• Reviews safety and warehouse procedures with employees and provides on-site training as needed.
• Reviews production sheets for work completion and merchandise discrepancies, and returns to management.
• Files production sheets in appropriate location.
• Meets the needs of buyers through effective communication, and maintains good business relations with buyers and management.
• Follows approved procedures regarding on-the-job accidents to include completing appropriate paperwork, providing proper medical attention, complete follow up responsibilities and assisting employees upon their return to work.
• Assists and completes warehouse duties as required.
• Oversees the accuracy of inventory records related to shipping and receiving.
• Performs, as well as supervises, the loading and unloading of various stock by lifting to and from shelves.
• Oversees the loading and unloading of commercial and/or company truck deliveries on a daily basis.
• Coordinates inventory management with the management as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 3-5 years prior working experience.
