About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Account Manager - FAA to spearhead strategic growth and relationship development within a key federal agency dedicated to transportation and aviation. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong executive-level relationships, leading strategic account planning, and driving business development efforts that align with the agency's missions, funding priorities, and innovation goals. This role requires a leader with extensive career experience within federal aviation agencies, a deep understanding of government customer environments, and a proven track record in fostering and expanding strategic relationships. The VP, Account Manager will also be instrumental in promoting corporate technology and mission software solutions to meet the evolving needs of the agency. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (technical or business field preferred), with a Master’s degree being a plus, and at least 15 years of experience supporting federal government programs, particularly in the transportation or aviation sectors. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in strategic account management, a robust understanding of software solutions, systems integration, and mission-critical technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in large, matrixed organizations. US Citizenship is required, along with the eligibility to obtain a federal security clearance. Experience in federal proposals, pricing strategy, and a network of existing relationships within federal transportation and aviation agencies are also essential. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, with strong influencing and negotiation skills, and have a presence within relevant aviation technology ecosystems.
