Job Title: TICKET OFFICE AGENT LEVEL I

Rate of Pay: $16.50 per hour

Shift: Full-Time (30-40 hrs/wk) & Part-Time (20-30 hrs/wk), Seasonal Positions

Variable Shifts: 8AM- 5PM or 4PM- 9PM

MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

SUMMARY

Engage each guest to assist with ticket sales and all other functions related to the Ticket Office, while professionally delivering a dynamic and significant experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a friendly and outgoing demeanor and passion for creating significant experiences for our guests.
  • Greets guests and answer all questions regarding the Ticket Office, ski & weather conditions, and Sundance.
  • Answers incoming phone calls professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Possesses knowledge of ski rates and be able to handle all associated transactions at window.
  • Maintains clean and organized Ticket Office for effective operations.
  • Runs register and handles point of sale transactions for ski and day passes including cash, credit cards, gift certificates, and voucher redemption.
  • Demonstrates basic understanding of point-of-sale operations and cash handling to perform basic transactions.
  • Executes daily lift ticket sales, working with the point-of-sale computer and balancing cash drawers.
  • Is willing to learn new software and skills related to ticket office operations.
  • Applies consistency 100% of the time to make sure that pass documents are signed and filled out completely.
  • Understands of all aspects of resort including guest activities, lodging, and dining.
  • Handles high pressure situations and demonstrates the ability to diffuse.
  • Commitment to adhere to Resort & department service standards.
  • Understands and exhibits the Sundance Guiding Principles and the Sundance service standards.
  • Share Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as opportunities allow.
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Attends shifts in a timely fashion even on days where there is inclement weather.
  • Can operate a two-way radio with clear instructions and appropriate language.
  • Help create a fun and friendly environment for guests and fellow employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with point-of-sale systems, computer databases, spreadsheets, and electronic mail. Use of a 2-way radio.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
