Elevate your career by shaping the aesthetic vision of a thriving e-commerce brand specializing in home décor. As the Director of Textile Design, you’ll lead a talented team, driving innovation and design excellence for a range of home products. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in expanding the brand’s product portfolio and captivating customers with visually stunning creations.

As a Design Director, you will:

• Spearhead the design and development of seasonal and core products, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision and roadmap.
• Collaborate with the VP of Design to curate a diverse and compelling product portfolio that enhances brand appeal and resonates with customers.
• Partner with the product and leadership teams to identify and evaluate new product opportunities.
• Develop inspiring mood boards that translate design concepts into tangible product ideas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain design consistency and uphold brand standards.
• Cultivate strong relationships with the design and product development teams to create unique collections and ensure timely product delivery.
• Oversee the creation of production-ready textile design files and meticulously evaluate strike-offs for color and design accuracy.
• Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, proactively identify potential risks, and effectively communicate project updates.
• Provide strategic guidance and project management for both short-term and long-term design initiatives.

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or a related field
• 8-10 years of experience in a senior design role, preferably within the home furnishings or textile industry
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proven experience leading, motivating, and mentoring high-performing teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead design projects from concept to completion
• Ability to work independently and proactively address challenges
• Data-driven decision-making skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Haves:

• A strong passion for home and textile design, particularly rug design
• Expertise in various textile constructions, including woven, knitted, and embroidered
