Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Telecom Associate to join a prominent law firm in Washington, D.C.
Job Summary: The firm is looking for a mid-level associate to join its Telecommunications group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications regulatory issues, including experience with the Communications Act and FCC processes.
Education and Bar Admission:
JD required
Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of telecommunications experience
Prior law firm or FCC experience preferred
Key Skills and Competencies:
Interest in new telecommunications and spectrum-based technologies
Expertise in telecommunications regulatory issues, particularly under the Communications Act and related regulations
Strong analytical, writing, and research skills
Excellent attention to detail and business judgment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure

Compensation: The expected hiring range for this position is $260,000 - $365,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
