About the role The Telecom Operations Manager – SwishTelecoms is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of SwishTelecoms’ telecommunications services. Reporting to the Managing Director – SwishTelecoms, this role ensures reliable service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and service obligations in a global, remote-first environment. This role focuses on operational execution, service quality, and cross-team coordination within a regulated telecoms business. Key Responsibilities Telecom Operations & Service Delivery Oversee daily telecom operations and service performance Ensure network uptime, reliability, and SLA compliance Coordinate operational activities across network, provisioning, and support teams Incident & Problem Management Lead operational response to telecom service incidents Coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions Drive continuous improvement to reduce service disruptions Process, SLAs & Performance Management Define and maintain operational processes and SLAs Monitor performance metrics and service quality Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements Regulatory & Compliance Support Support compliance with telecoms regulations and licence obligations Maintain operational documentation required by regulators Work with Legal and Compliance teams on audits and reviews Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Network, IT, Support, and Engineering teams Support customer escalations and complex service issues Act as an operational liaison between technical and commercial teams Expectations Deliver stable, compliant telecom services Apply structured, data-driven operational management Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders Operate effectively in a fully remote environment

Requirements

Experience Proven experience in telecom operations or service management roles Experience working with network operations, provisioning, or service delivery Experience in regulated telecoms environments preferred Experience working in remote or distributed teams is an advantage Skills Strong understanding of telecom operations and service delivery Experience managing incidents, SLAs, and operational processes Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Clear written and verbal communication skills Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Telecom or service management certifications preferred but not required
