For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Lycée Français de New York is looking to hire individuals who are interested in working in a bilingual French/English setting for the following positions:

PRESCHOOL & ELEMENTARY TEACHERS

Preschool Co-Teacher We are looking for a teacher who: 

• has  a bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood or Childhood Education
• has at least 2 years of experience teaching in Early Childhood 
• has strong writing and speaking skills in English 
• is innovative and technology-savvy
• enjoys collaborating on curriculum and teaching practices
• is adaptable and flexible
• has a commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging

Elementary English teacher - 1st to 5th grades We are looking for a teacher who: 

• has experience teaching grades 1-5
• has training in Childhood Education with a bachelor's degree or higher
• has training/background in English/ ELA
• has strong writing and speaking skills in English
• is innovative and technology-savvy
• enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
• is adaptable, flexible and willing to teach several different grades 
• has some proficiency in French and/or a willingness to learn
• has a commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS

Art Teacher - 6th to 12th grades We are looking for a teacher who:

• holds a degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
• has at least 2 years of experience teaching visual arts 
• demonstrates a strong ability to teach art concepts
• fosters creativity, self-expression, and cultural appreciation in students
• is comfortable using technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance the art experience
• enjoys collaborating on interdisciplinary projects and activities
• has a commitment to promoting inclusivity and diverse artistic perspectives
• a background in both classical and contemporary art is a plus

English Teacher - 6th to 12th grades

We are looking for a teacher who ideally: 

• has an MA in English or higher
• has at least 2 years of experience teaching English in grades 6-12
• has strong writing and speaking skills
• is innovative and technology-savvy
• enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
• is adaptable, flexible and willing to teach several different grades through Middle School and High School 
• has a commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging
• knowledge of French a plus

History & Geography Teacher – 6th to 12th grades We are looking for a teacher who:

• holds a degree in History, Geography, or a related field
• has at least 2 years of experience teaching History and/or Geography 
• demonstrates the ability to teach and encourage critical thinking
• uses innovative methods to engage students in global history, geography, and current events
• is skilled in integrating technology to support a bilingual learning experience
• enjoys working collaboratively on interdisciplinary projects with colleagues
• is committed to providing an inclusive and diverse perspective on historical and geographic topics
• knowledge of French a plus

Math Teacher – 6th to 12th grades We are seeking a teacher who:

• holds a degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• has expertise in AP Calculus BC and/orAP Statistics and at least 2 years of experience teaching 
• has experience in using the Singapore method in Middle School
• is skilled at creating an engaging and challenging classroom environment
• uses technology effectively to enhance mathematical understanding
• enjoys collaborating with colleagues to develop a curriculum that meets the needs of all students
• is dedicated to fostering a growth mindset and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students

Annual salary range

$73,576 - $123,417

*This pay range corresponds to steps 5 and 30 of our current salary grid which is based on full-time teaching experience.
