64 miles south of Montreal, Canada, and just west of Lake Champlain, Plattsburgh is a city in and the seat of Clinton County, New York. The population was 19,989 at the 2010 census. The population of the unincorporated areas within the surrounding Town of Plattsburgh was 11,870 as of the 2010 census, making the combined population for all of Plattsburgh to be 31,859.

The plant was built around 1902, manufactures sustainable molded fiber products such as cup carriers, school lunch trays, plates, and bowls, and has approximately 125 employees. Plattsburgh has been awarded multiple safety and environmental awards over it's illustrious history within the community.

Pactiv Evergreen is required by laws in many locations to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69K -$115K.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
• Typically supervises 50+ employees.
• Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
• Planning, assigning & directing work
• Appraising performance
• Rewarding & disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints & resolving problems.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
• Support & improve upon quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
• Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Willing and able to work 6pm-6am on a 2-3-2 rotation
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work well in group situations
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner.
• Good computer skills.
• SAP experience preferred.
