Sr. Tax Manager

We are a mid-sized, 50-person public accounting firm looking for a Sr. Tax Manager to oversee tax our tax department and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for ensuring that all tax returns are prepared accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will lead a team of tax professionals and provide strategic guidance on tax matters to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the preparation and review of various tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120SA.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
• Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring high standards of performance and professional development.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients regarding tax compliance and planning matters.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on client situations.
• Assist in the development of tax policies and procedures within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or LLM in Taxation is preferred.
• Active CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising teams in a professional environment.
