We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Torrance, California. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in distribution accounting and a strong understanding of financial compliance standards. This role involves managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting audits and tax filings.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
• Prepare and analyze key financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
• Maintain the general ledger, perform journal entries, and conduct reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Conduct variance analyses to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Handle tax preparation and filings at federal, state, and local levels, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Utilize advanced Excel and accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to streamline financial processes.
• Monitor cash flow and develop strategies to optimize financial health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience (Must be within distribution, inventory, manufacturing, and/or CPG industries)

• Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in QuickBooks; familiarity with NetSuite or R365 is advantageous.

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling.

• Strong expertise in preparing financial statements and managing closing processes.

• Solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management.

• Experience in general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and audit procedures.
