Job Summary: The Offset Press Operator is a skilled position responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-color offset printing presses to consistently produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires precision in pre-press tasks, color management, and equipment troubleshooting to meet strict customer specifications and production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Presses Include Ryobi 3302 and 2800 2 color machines, and Heidelburg 4 color GTO press and bindery experience needed also for small printing company
• Set up and operate sheet-fed , ensuring efficient and safe machine performance.
• Conduct all necessary make-ready procedures, including mounting printing plates, adjusting paper feeders, and setting up the inking system.
• Continuously monitor press operations for exceptional quality, including precise color matching, image registration, and proper ink density.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on the press equipment to maintain optimal working condition and minimize downtime.
• Mix, adjust, and replenish ink and chemicals as needed to achieve required color specifications (e.g., matching to Pantone standards).
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Complete accurate production logs, quality control reports, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (typically 10 years minimum) as an Offset Press Operator on modern multi-color equipment.
• Deep technical knowledge of printing processes, press mechanics, and pre-press principles.
• Expertise in color theory, density measurement, and achieving accurate color and registration adjustments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve common press operational issues.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules accurately.
• Physical capacity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
