Job Description

Job Summary: The SEO Specialist is responsible for driving improvements in technical and on-page SEO, as well as executing off-page SEO strategies. This role includes SEO research, reporting, project management, and collaboration across teams to optimize performance. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience with SEO tools, and the ability to communicate technical SEO concepts effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct SEO research, including keyword and competitor analysis, and make suggestions for improvements
  • Improve technical SEO performance by recommending fixes to the development team and tracking progress/results
  • Optimize site crawling, architecture, and infrastructure
  • Work with the development team and CMS to optimize pages for search engines (keywords, meta data, tagging, and structured data)
  • Update internal links and optimize site speed
  • Create and execute white-hat link building and digital PR strategies with internal and external partners
  • Perform monthly tracking of key SEO metrics and update presentations with data and insights
  • Proactively recommend and implement tactics for continuous SEO improvements
  • Monitor key project performance and optimize to find value
  • Create, monitor, and advance SEO-related projects, collaborating across teams to establish agile workflows
  • Use effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, UX, digital operations, content marketing, and customer marketing)
  • Explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders and secure buy-in
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Technology, or a related field
  • 6+ years of SEO experience with a mix of technical and content focus
  • Proven track record of SEO success with measurable improvements
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), SEO tools (SEMRush, Google Analytics, Search Console), and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio)
  • Strong understanding of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UX principles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the animal health industry or pharmaceuticals (in-house or agency)
  • Passion for achieving results and adaptability to change
