Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for product management of CLEAR’s Airport Lane Experience. The Lane Experience is the core of what CLEAR is known for - seamlessly enrolling your biometrics and then seamlessly verifying your identity at any of our 58 Airports for an elevated security experience. Your focus will be driving and defining a roadmap that balances 3 primary objectives: 1) best in class product experience, determining where there’s friction and opportunity at each step of the internal and external customer journey 2) operational compliance, ensuring our product never compromises security or compliance, and 3) stability and performance, ensuring that our lanes are always available and performing at or above our quality thresholds. You will own critical decisions and weigh tradeoffs between stakeholder feature requests, new functionality, and tech investments, always focusing on solving problems for partners and people.

What you'll do:

  • Define CLEAR’s product strategy and roadmap for the Lane Experience, always working backwards from the customer. Drive outcomes that support both company and team level success metrics.
  • Build and manage multiple complex products from start to finish, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle from design to delivery. Drive a consistent end-user experience across our network.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Operations, Engineering, Design, and Marketing in order to deliver against quarterly and annual roadmap initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement using qualitative and quantitative data to identify issues and ways to improve.
  • Deeply understand the evolving competitive landscape of digital identity and biometrics, and understand where CLEAR is uniquely positioned to drive value for travelers.

How you'll measure success:

  • You will develop success metrics for your team. Your top goal is to drive a delightful member experience in the lanes. It is critical that the CLEAR Lanes enable and maintain a frictionless member experience. It’s also critical that we empower customers (internal and external) to self-serve whenever possible. Last, but not least, is partnering with stakeholders to identify additional opportunities that extend our member value proposition within the lanes to the airport ecosystem and support our ambitions to win the day of travel.

What you're great at:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative consumer experiences at scale; ideal candidates have experience with the intersection of digital and physical experiences with millions of users.
  • Ability to create a multi-quarter strategy based on customer needs, regulatory requirements, existing stakeholder feedback.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  • Familiarity with delivering features to end users and stakeholders that require lead time and coordination due to training, process changes, localized challenges, etc.
  • Deep understanding of user experience across physical experiences and an understanding of real-world use vs hypothetical use.
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic planner with proven ability to drive projects and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time - as the product manager overseeing a physical experience with millions of users, it is expected that you are onsite during critical releases and at an appropriate cadence to gather feedback from both internal and external customers.

How You'll be Rewarded:

At CLEAR we help YOU move forward - because when you’re at your best, we’re at our best. You’ll work with talented team members who are motivated by our mission of making experiences safer and easier. Our hybrid work environment provides flexibility. In our offices, you’ll enjoy benefits like meals and snacks. We invest in your well-being and learning & development with our stipend and reimbursement programs.

We offer holistic total rewards, including comprehensive healthcare plans, family building benefits (fertility and adoption/surrogacy support), flexible time off, free OneMedical memberships for you and your dependents, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
