As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail and mall environment, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout the location. Your presence will help to maintain a secure atmosphere for customers and staff, while you remain approachable and ready to assist with inquiries or concerns. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company vehicle as needed. You will also be expected to utilize technology, such as computers or tablets, to document your patrols and communicate with your team. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for shoppers and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Observe for any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns and report findings according to site protocols.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site policies.
• Communicate professionally with store management, staff, and visitors, providing information and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and candidates must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; driving is preferred for primarily driving posts.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
