Position : Custodian, 12 month position

Description: This job consists of routine work to maintain the cleanliness of our school. This employee receives general direction and leadership from the Director of Business Services. This employee performs cleaning and maintenance functions during the day and as needed.

• Performs building inspections to ensure safety and security.
• Cleans building by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, sealing, buffing, washing rooms and surfaces, vacuuming, etc. 
• Performs basis ground maintenance.
• Moves, stores, and assembles furniture and equipment.
• Supports removal of snow and ice.
• Maintain and control work orders and repairs.
• Establishes and maintains files and filing systems.
  
• Handles logistics for events and activities.
• Assists and supervises students during activities as needed.
• Handles special instructions supporting Glenwood Academy’s mission.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Salary: $40,000

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.

• Ability to follow directions from teachers and/or administrative staff.

• Ability to work with Glenwood Academy software and hardware and possess technology knowledge to support tasks.

• Ability to execute assignments to completion.

• Ability to demonstrate strong human relations skills.

• Ability to carry out Glenwood Academy practices, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to pick up and carry at minimum 65 pounds
• Stamina to engage in physical activity including but not limited to: extensive walking, stooping, pushing, carrying, climbing, bending and lifting
• Availability to respond to emergency calls
• 2 years experience

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required
