Your Job We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Owner to join our team at Koch Capabilities. This individual will play a crucial role in owning and managing multiple Generative AI products, applications, and assets.
Our Team The role will be part of the Koch Generative AI Capability and will report up through the CTO organization. The role will be working daily with technical resources, leaders, other Product Owners and enabling capability teams like Learning and Development.
What You Will Do - Review and Prioritize: Start the day by reviewing the product backlog and prioritizing tasks based on the strategic direction set by the Product Manager.
- Team Collaboration: Conduct daily stand-up meetings with the agile team to discuss progress and address any issues or blockers.
- Requirement Clarification : Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements and ensure they have a clear understanding of what needs to be done.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders, including the Product Manager, to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Backlog Refinement: Continuously refine the product backlog, adding new items as necessary and updating existing ones to reflect changes in strategy.
- Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning meetings to determine what work will be done in the upcoming sprint.
- Review Progress : Review the progress of current tasks and adjust priorities as needed.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks or issues that could impact the product and work on strategies to mitigate them.
- Product Evolution: Constantly think about the evolution of the product, considering customer feedback, market trends, and technological advancements.
- Retrospective Meetings: Participate in retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint to discuss what went well, what didn't, and how processes can be improved for the next sprint.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Prior experience in product ownership or management, preferably within the AI industry, with a proven track record of translating strategic goals into actionable plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with various stakeholders and the development team and create comprehensive status reports and other stakeholder communications.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems effectively, with a focus on aligning day-to-day tasks with the overall product strategy.
- Strong focus on defining, refining, and prioritizing product backlogs to deliver maximum value in a collaborative environment.
What Will Put You Ahead - A strong technical understanding of Generative AI products, applications, and assets to effectively manage and guide the development team.
- Previous experience leading cross-functional teams in an agile environment. This experience would be beneficial in managing the team and ensuring efficient execution of tasks.
- Possession of a recognized certification in Product Ownership or Agile methodologies, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager.
