The primary emphasis for this position will be to support BCD Travel in providing service-oriented, business-minded support in connection with data privacy matters. This position may be virtual or office-based where BCD Travel has a presence. As a Privacy Analyst, you will + Advise colleagues in Legal and internal clients with respect to data privacy to promote compliance with global data protection laws + Review, analyze, and complete privacy assessments and privacy-related inquiries, working with both internal and external clients and vendors + Research and monitor changes in laws, regulations, trends, discussions, and best business practices related to data protection and privacy, and communicate internally, proposing risk mitigation strategies and changes to our policies and guidelines accordingly + Advise internal staff based on privacy policies, procedures, and strategies + Advise on privacy issues related to new products and services About you + Legal and privacy experience with prior experience working on data privacy matters + Relevant privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) or equivalent is a plus + A self-starter, with excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written skills + Detail-oriented and a skilled draftsperson + Excellent command of English + A customer-service-oriented approach with an eye toward practical application and an understanding of how legal issues fit into the overall strategic plans of the business + Ability to translate the legal data protection obligations in the context of the services the company provides + Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, and organizations, and with a diverse group of colleagues, including in-house attorneys, suppliers, and clients at all levels + A good sense of humor and be a team player who will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and collegial atmosphere + Experience with privacy platforms (e.g. OneTrust) + Experience in the travel industry is an asset + Ability to travel if necessary About us We’re a market leader in travel management: We help people and companies travel smart and achieve more, and our clients include some of the world’s best-known and most innovative business and consumer brands.
