The Department of Political Science at The Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the position of postdoctoral fellow in racial politics for a three-year term with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. We seek outstanding scholars of Political Science whose research examines the political production of race and racism. The successful candidate will be committed to cutting-edge inquiry in one or more of the major subfields of Political Science (American Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Comparative Politics) and will be interested in reshaping the discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to grant applications, so experience in grant-writing is advantageous. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach one course per academic year. Aside from these duties, it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to pursue their own research projects. A Ph.D. is required, but we will accept applications from doctoral students expected to fulfill Ph. D degree requirements by July 1, 2024.
