Job Description Your Role: As part of the Performance Measurement, Analytics and Reporting ("PMAR") organization, our team provides comprehensive business intelligence to help Invesco understand its fund results relative to peers and indexes. Our key stakeholders include Investments, Marketing, Senior Management and Fund Boards. This role is to support the day-to-day needs of the business and to help drive the team forward by being a key contributor to ongoing strategic projects.
You will be responsible for: - Identify opportunities to streamline existing business processes by automating recurring and ad-hoc analyses into stable, repeatable reports, metrics, and dashboards.
- Leverage automated tools to efficiently source, cleanse, merge data and calculate analytics.
- Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret anomalies and patterns in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and resolution of trends and troubleshoot issues
- Build, maintain and enhance accurate interactive dashboards and static reports that are easily absorbed by colleagues with varying data literacy to empower decision making.
- Evaluate output to ensure meets stakeholder requirements and summaries key findings.
- Build and maintain local data models as needed while subsequently partnering with Technology engineers to transition to firm-wide data repositories as processes become mature.
- Support projects to test and reconcile statistics in data repositories, having a clear understanding of requirements, legacy/future methodologies and reconcile to source system. Identify and recommend potential enhancements.
- Advise on the latest data tools & techniques and new features available in latest releases of the tools we currently use.
The experience you bring: - The ideal candidate should have a BS and/or MS in areas such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Science or similar. Or at least 4 years' worth of work experience in analyzing data.
- Strong exposure with analyzing large quantity and variety of data.
- Intermediate knowledge of a no-code data analysis tool such as Alteryx or programming language for data analysis like SQL, Python, SAS or R.
- Data visualization experience using Power BI, Tableau or any other visualization tool is an advantage.
- Experience partnering with IT engineers to design data repositories and pipelines desirable.
- Passionate about data and turning into information
- Optimally manage multiple deadlines and have a strong attention to detail.
- You are an independent self-starter, positive can-do attitude that overcomes challenges and barriers.
- Able to generate innovative ideas with a passion for identifying/implementing sound and pragmatic solutions.
- Strong diplomacy skills to foster positive relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional project teams both in-person and remotely.
- A have a high degree of curiosity and a desire to learn, including taking on results-oriented new assignments.
