Join our team as a Painter, where you will be responsible for prepping, hanging, and packaging sheet metal parts. This role requires consistent lifting of 40 pounds and involves hanging pieces of metal on a conveyor belt. While you may start in the paint shop, those with painting experience may quickly advance to the painter position. We have openings for both day and night shifts.
Prepping sheet metal parts for painting. Hanging and packaging sheet metal parts. Consistently lifting items weighing 40 pounds. Operating power tools and equipment safely. Ensuring quality by paying attention to detail and identifying product defects.
Experience with power tools, plating, and coating. Proficiency in painting techniques, including paint prep and spray gun operation. Knowledge of industrial painting processes, such as HVLP spray, blasting, and powder coating.
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes. Experience in a sheet metal shop environment is beneficial. Ability to work in hotter areas due to the ovens used in the process.

The work environment is in a sheet metal shop, which can be hotter due to the ovens used in the process. Day shifts run from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, and night shifts from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, offering a 10-hour workday with a 10% differential for night shifts.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Salt Lake, UT.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
