Job Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Coordinator

Location: Bend, OR

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:45 AM - 6:00 PM)

Job Summary

We are actively seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to manage the administrative flow of our busy clinic in Bend, OR. The ideal candidate will be friendly, possess strong customer service skills, and have an 'old-school' work ethic. A major component of this role involves accurate and efficient patient insurance verification. The position requires a highly organized individual capable of multitasking effectively while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reception Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, managing a high volume of incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
• Patient Scheduling: Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments efficiently to optimize clinic workflow.
• Insurance Verification: Perform a significant amount of detailed insurance verification for patients daily, ensuring accuracy in billing information and eligibility.
• Data Entry & Administration: Assist with ongoing data entry tasks on spreadsheets to catch up on administrative backlogs. Ensure very detailed and accurate work across all tasks.
• Patient Communication: Conduct follow-up calls to patients regarding appointments, services, or administrative needs.
• Office Equipment Use: Utilize standard office equipment including PC computers, phones, scanners, and fax machines, in addition to our specific Acom-Rapid software.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Prior experience in a reception, front desk, or medical office setting is required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Skills:
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Exceptional detail orientation and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn Acom-Rapid software.
  • Ability to work professionally with patients of all ages.
• Work Ethic: A highly motivated self-starter with a reliable, 'old-school' work ethic.
