Come join the Space Based InfraRed System (SBIRS) program as a Network Engineer with a focus in designing and planning network communications systems. In our product-based organization, we are looking for talented engineers to contribute to the success of our sustainment and modernization of the SBIRS system in our labs and at our operational sites.
In this role, you will:
•Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
•Provide technical expertise in areas of network and computer hardware, software interconnection. and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
•Implement techniques and tools for the most efficient solutions to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Basic Qualifications •Final Secret clearance prior to start and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
•CompTIA Security+ certification
•Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks
•Experience with Linux/RHEL
Desired skills •Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing
o Basic Enterprise architecture
o QoS Design
•Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
o Nexus OS
o Cisco IOS
o Junos OS
o Taclane
•Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) or higher level certifications
•Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as, STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
•Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools
•Network and Linux/RHEL automation utilizing Ansible
•Virtualization utilizing VMWare
•Familiarity with NAS/SAN technologies (NFS, FC, iSCSI)
•Document existing and new network architectures using Visio

Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
