Requirements

•Highs School Graduate or GED

•Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program Licensed by New York State Department of Education

•Successful completion of a course in billing - HIGHLY PREFERRED

•Direct patient care experience

•Previous experience in and knowledge of clinic operations, patient registration/scheduling

•Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

•Must speak English proficiently. Legible handwriting

•Moderate to strong data processing, computer and typing skills. Computer data entry

•Ability to meet public, communicate clearly on the telephone, interact with patients, staff and other hospital departments

•Ability to document and retrieve information from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Job Description
