This position may be eligible for a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus with a 3 year committment.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist working within the Cell Therapy Laboratory and Blood Bank Department performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program, or a Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT for the Medical Laboratory Scientist required.
• Six months Blood Banking experience preferred.
• Cell therapy handling/processing experience preferred.

  Certification, Licensure, Registration

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT within 12 months of hire date.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday Day Shift: 5:00 am-3:30 pm
• Rotate every 3rd weekend and holiday
• On Call every 4th weekend 
• Full Time - 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

• $27.50 - $41.50 per hour
