POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marina Yard Work er will perform general yard and heavy equipment duties under the supervision of the Yard Marina Facilities Manager.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Duties include performing work related to the maintenance and operation of the boat launch ramp, lift well, docks, and managed lands and facilities, including but not limited to mowing, trimming, snow removal, pre-and post-storm preparation and recovery operations, routine preventative equipment maintenance, litter pickup, and painting.
• Assist in the Haul, power wash, block & launch of power & sail boats during all seasons.
• Depending on the level of training and experience, this position could involve operating boat-moving, construction equipment, forklifts, brush cutters, and tractors, driving medium-duty vehicles with trailers, and using skills in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repairs, grounds maintenance, and other related duties.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to utilize, service, and operate boats and equipment. The employee may be requested to work in adverse outdoor weather conditions.
• Conduct individual or group lifting of equipment and tools weighing up to and above 50lbs
• Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned by Marina Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

ESSENTIAL

Excellent customer service skills

18 years old or older

High School Diploma or GED

Current Driver’s License

Basic mechanical hand tools and outerwear for all types of weather conditions

Must be able to swim/tread water
