About the Role We’re seeking a creative and strategic Learning Experience Designer to help shape the next generation of financial education at DollarWise. In this role, you’ll design engaging, research‑backed learning experiences that empower users to build real‑world financial confidence. You’ll collaborate across product, content, and creative teams to turn complex personal finance topics into accessible, interactive, and impactful learning journeys. You’ll be responsible for crafting the pedagogical approach behind our content—defining learning objectives, creating user‑centered curriculum flows, and designing multimedia learning assets that inspire action. What You’ll Do: Learning Design & Development Design and develop engaging, interactive learning experiences that make personal finance approachable and actionable. Translate learning objectives into storyboards, scripts, and user flows. Develop assessments, reflection prompts, and activities that reinforce key concepts and track learner progress. Use data and learner feedback to continuously refine and improve content effectiveness. Ensure alignment with learning science, accessibility, and inclusive design principles. Collaborate with subject matter experts, writers, and creative producers to bring financial education content to life. Partner with video editors, designers, and engineers to ensure smooth learning delivery across web and mobile. Contribute to content quality reviews and ensure consistency in voice, tone, and instructional approach. Support the creation of supplementary learning materials—such as guides, infographics, and interactive tools. Curriculum Strategy & User Experience Map learning pathways tailored to diverse user segments and skill levels. Design for retention and behavior change, integrating gamification and microlearning where relevant. Analyze user data and feedback to identify learning gaps and inform product improvements. Stay current on financial education trends, UX in learning, and emerging instructional technologies. Who You Are: Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Science, or related field. 3–6 years of experience in instructional design, e‑learning development, or learning experience design. Demonstrated success designing digital learning content (web, mobile, video, or interactive). Experience in financial education, fintech, or behavior‑change education is a strong plus. Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks. Strong ability to simplify complex financial topics into digestible, engaging lessons. Proficiency with authoring and design tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar). Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e‑learning standards (SCORM, xAPI). Strong project management skills with attention to detail and timelines. Excellent communication and storytelling abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with video‑based or interactive learning production. Familiarity with gamification and microlearning design. Background in behavioral economics, cognitive psychology, or user experience design. Experience at an EdTech, fintech, or mission‑driven education company.
