Overview

Ulta Beauty is building a best-in-class Enterprise Data Organization with the goal of creating enterprise value through data. The IT Manager Enterprise Data Enablement collaborates with business stakeholders to understand needs, identify priorities, define scope, and recommend data and analytic solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This role is responsible for the care of Ulta Beautys enterprise data and enabling data for business partners to leverage its value, resulting in actionable insights and data products. The role requires collaboration across the organization on enterprise data and product initiatives and driving from the data side.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the definition, design, and delivery of enterprise data products within Ultas Analytics Platform and related applications, reporting directly to the Sr Manager Enterprise Data Enablement
• Document, monitor, and revise artifacts in support of product development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the product roadmap defining short- and long-term enhancements
• Collaborate with lines of business across Digital, Merchandising, Marketing, Store Ops, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities solvable with Data-as-a-Product
• Work with Data Science, Analytics, Report consumer, and Data Technology teams to build data capabilities that meet enterprise business needs
• Influence the organization to ensure data is at the forefront of all enterprise initiatives
• Stay connected with the retail industry and emerging data trends; advocate for innovation using data

Additional Responsibilities

• Become a trusted advisor and thought leader to business partners at all levels
• Attract, hire, train, and develop talent; provide clear, motivating feedback
• Manage and prioritize requests from across the organization
• Advocate for enterprise data and analytics and consult on usage
• Ensure governance and integrity of BI models, data, KPIs, and systems; promote reusability of models cross-functionally
• Stay up to date on BI functionality and analytics (including machine learning) and recommend process improvements
• Engage in AI initiatives
• Identify and maintain Enterprise Data and Analytics KPIs to provide ongoing enterprise feedback

The Essentials for Success

• Bachelors degree in computer science, CIS, or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of successful Product Management experience with first-party customer data, digital, marketing, supply chain, store operations, product, vendor, and external data
• Strong data analytics background; experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau); ability to analyze data and write queries/reports
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with enterprise-scale reports and dashboards
• Experience democratizing data at enterprise scale
• Experience working in Agile and defining/tracking data value metrics
• Proficiency with conceptual data models, data profiling, visualization, SQL
• Understanding of Data Architecture
• Experience with Product Management in an Agile environment
• Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS)
• Retail industry experience is a plus

The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $165,000.00 / Year, with eligibility for additional compensation under the Companys bonus plan. Final pay is based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, location, and business needs.
