Salary /hourly: $80,000 -90,000 

Regular Schedule: Monday – Friday 

Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Standard) 40 – 50 hours per week 

Event Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (When the family is entertaining or hosting dinners, typically 2 or 3 nights per week). 

Position Overview:

A private couple in the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lady's Maid/Housekeeper to join their household team
This position requires someone with a strong background in formal household settings and extensive experience with wardrobe management
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a chef, personal assistant, and another full-time housekeeper to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service.

Responsibilities:

• Wardrobe Management:
  • Organize, maintain, and care for the Mrs.’s wardrobe, including steaming, ironing, and coordinating outfits.
  • Manage seasonal wardrobe rotations, including packing and unpacking for travel.
  • Assist with the selection and preparation of attire for daily wear, events, and social engagements.
  • Handle delicate fabrics and high-end garments with precision and care.
• Housekeeping Duties:
  • Perform detailed cleaning and maintenance of all areas of the home, ensuring a pristine and orderly environment.
  • Manage household linens, including laundering, pressing, and storing.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the closets and dressing rooms.
• Event Assistance:
  • Support the family during social events and dinners, providing service as needed.
  • Collaborate with the chef and personal assistant to ensure smooth execution of events.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with other household staff to ensure seamless operations and adherence to household standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the family and staff regarding schedules, needs, and preferences.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional housekeeper in a high-end, formal home setting.
• Experience with formal dinner and beverage service is preferred.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Discreet, professional demeanor, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be comfortable working around pets and providing light pet care.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
