The Fish and Boat Commission is on the lookout for a Fishing Boating Facilities Maintainer for Maintenance Area 4, a multi-county region in Southcentral Pennsylvania. This is specialized skilled work in the maintenance and repair of fishing and boating facilities. In this position, you will be working for an environmental agency that supports the mission "to protect, conserve and enhance the Commonwealth's aquatic resources and provide fishing and boating opportunities." You will leave work each day knowing that you played a part in helping provide recreational outdoor opportunities for individuals and families that enjoy Pennsylvania's waterways and natural resources.
The position works with the Facilities Supervisor in the Bureau of Engineering and provides vital services through the execution and performance of maintenance duties in support of several Bureaus. This position performs critical service duties to maintain PFBC facilities in a multi-county region. Additionally, this position performs a broad range of maintenance including but not limited to weed eating, litter picking, mowing access areas and dams, repairing damaged concrete launch ramps, installing signage, servicing mowers and tractors, and other miscellaneous tasks.
