Job Description

Horizon Housing Alliance is a small Spokane-based non-profit housing developer. We are seeking a hands-on finance leader that performs detailed functions related to accounting and administration, including the following:

• Continually improves finance and accounting systems
• Oversees and implements AP/AR, payroll, insurance provisions, organizational records
• Prepares for audits
• Creates and maintains organizational budgets and projections and for all subsidiary organizations
• Manages cash flow
• Submits property tax exemption applications and LLC filings
• Assists with board communication
• Provides financial support to partners
• Engages with third-party property managers and service providers on housing communities to help assure successful outcomes
• Provides general support in the housing development process

Position Requirements:

• Requires independent work style and an inquisitive, problem-solving mentality.
• MBA, Accounting Degree, or equivalent.
• Experience with bookkeeping software and all forms of organizational management software including property management.
• A minimum of 10-years of progressive experience in areas of accounting systems management, development support, and/or organizational leadership.
• Real Estate experience helpful.
• Affordable Housing experience helpful.
• Banking, project funding, and tax credit experience helpful.

Salary will be $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience.
