**Description** **Fiber Technician** **Job Type** : Full-Time +, Non-Exempt **Pay** :Competitive, Hourly **Benefits:** + Company Sponsored Retirement Plan + Health Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision) + Employee Assistance Program + Life, long-term/short-term disability insurances + Vacation Time + Paid Holidays **Essential Functions & Responsibilities:** + Working with other technician to install new networks and troubleshooting of existing systems. + Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems. + Splicing and testing of multimode and single mode fibers in ITS systems. + Assist in on-site work duties. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Extensive knowledge of fiber optic installations, cable splicing and troubleshooting. + Can accurately read plans and specifications. + Comfortable working outside in various climates. **Education & Experience** + Minimum of 12 months of installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems experience. **Pre-Screen** + Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check. **License & Certifications:** + Valid driver's license required. **Travel Requirements:** + Potential travel required for temporary backup needs at other office locations.
