Job Description
The Events Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events at the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial. This role is crucial in ensuring the museum serves as a premier venue for public, private, and community events. The Events Director will manage all aspects of event planning and logistics, from initial inquiry to execution, while promoting the museum as a unique and historic destination. Furthermore, the Events Director will ensure successful events that align with organizational goals by managing budgets, coordinating vendors, supervising staff, and maintaining strong client relationships across various event types.
The Events Director is a forward-facing, senior staff role – with an eye on pro-active recruitment of new events, sponsorships, networking, and fundraising for the world’s most decorated Battleship.
The position is in-person, with some flexibility to Work From Home depending on the ship's schedule and supervisor approval.
