Overview GovCIO is currently hiring for Software Test Engineer to support our client’s contract needs. This position is located in the Washington, DC and will be a hybrid remote position. Responsibilities Processes orders, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction Responsible for researching and resolving complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction Interpersonal and professional oral and written communication skills required Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Performs a variety of complicated tasks Typically reports to a supervisor or manager with limited supervision A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected May direct work of lower level employees Qualifications Bachelor’s in Technical or Business field plus equivalent experience with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of experience in the Testing/QA/QE field with a passion for quality 3+ year experience working in an Agile environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate and articulate to stakeholders and management across multiple business functions Experience Data Warehousing and/or ETL Extremely detail oriented with a self-starter personality Proven history of successfully coordinating and executing all aspects of testing efforts from project inception to post launch Ability to understand business needs and translate them into test cases and test scenarios Expertise in various forms of software testing: functional and non-functional testing – Integration, System, Regression, and End to End testing Strong SQL skills with experience in Database testing Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and frequent release cycles is a must Experience with Atlassian Tools (JIRA & Confluence) is required Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Preferred Skills and Experience Agile Scrum Master certification Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium Company Overview GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT. Posted Pay Range The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
