Estate Planning Attorney
Location: Central NJ
Salary: $125,000 - $145,000

Description:
Multiple openings in the Financial/Wealth planning business. No experience needed in the financial industry, but would be a plus. Will be a part of a team along with financial planners, who are seeking to create new clients, deliver great financial planning with excellent legal advice, guidance services as a part of the long-term plans. Current estate attorneys will help train if needed. You will be a key part of education, protecting clients on the legal, tax, retirement issues that come with a diversified long-term financial plan.

Target clients:
Individuals, families and small businesses with investments of $800K to $3M in a long-term financial plan for growth and security over time.

Qualifications:

• Licensed in NJ with 1+ years of legal experience preferably in estate/tax planning but not a must.
• Learn to be able to present and draft revocable and irrevocable trust
• Primary areas include estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals and families, estate administration, income tax, transfer tax and charitable planning, as well as pass-through entity (LLCs and LPs) and business succession planning.
• No book of business required.
• Experience and expertise in Federal and New Jersey tax law required.
• Licensed in New Jersey.
• Solid work ethic and ambitious in a team context – not at expense of team.
• Problem-solving manner, ability to work with variety of personalities and under pressure.
• Team orientated, including experience working in groups (with lawyers, paralegals, as well as clients).
• Client service orientation and high touch responsiveness expected.
• Financial background pertinent to client base and transactions necessary.
• Proficiency with technology – ideally, self-sufficient in generation of routine work product.
