Job Description

Employee Engagement & Recruitment Coordinator

A career with EF combines the support and opportunity of a large international organization with the spirit and energy of a small business. We look for thinkers and doers – creative, collaborative, and motivated people who are excited by education and travel.

EF Education First, the world leader in international education, is looking for a resourceful, organized and relationship-oriented Employee Engagement & Recruitment Coordinator with strong communication skills to join EF's in-house Travel department. In this role, you will be a member of the department's Recruitment, Training and Development team and support our vision to empower every individual to have a "WE" mindset regardless of office location and role. You will report to the Training, Recruitment & Development Manager.

This full-time role can be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts or Zurich, Switzerland. Candidates must possess the appropriate work authorization for the location in which they apply. Start date will be in October/November 2024.

What you will be doing

  • Communication - collaborating with all teams across EF Travel and contributing to the improvement of our internal communication
  • Recruitment - managing first phone screens and handling administrative recruitment & onboarding tasks
  • Engagement - playing an active role in department initiatives for increased engagement and establishing relationships with other central EF teams to promote and facilitate in-office events
  • Training - supporting development of online training material and handling background checks in preparation for staff tour enrollments

Who you are

  • Ideally experienced in recruitment, training or communication tools and processes
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize amongst multiple responsibilities
  • Able to create excitement and buy in around initiatives
  • Independent with a "can-do" attitude towards taking initiative, owning new tasks and overcoming challenges
  • Attention to detail when working administrative tasks
  • Flexible to work some evenings and to travel to visit other EF offices

Why you will love working here

People at EF make things happen. We encourage you to take full ownership of your work, regardless of your level or experience. EF team members often say we operate like the world’s largest startup because this boundless entrepreneurial spirit is built into our organization’s DNA.

Work in our centrally located office where you will enjoy comprehensive professional development, employee-run social groups (including our “EF-finity” groups: Black@EF, LGBTQ+@EF, LatinX@EF, API@EF, Indigenous@EF, Jewish@EF and Parents@EF).

In addition, you can expect

  • Commitment to professional growth: robust monthly calendar of trainings, workshops and TED Talk style sessions
  • Four weeks paid vacation your first year, in addition to 12 paid holidays
  • 25% company match on your 401(k) contribution
  • Market-leading medical, dental and vision coverage, along with life and disability insurance
  • Wellness benefits including onsite and virtual classes run by EF instructors and a yearly fitness reimbursement
  • EF Product Discounts (discounts on travel, international language schools, childcare with our Au Pair product and more)
  • Dependent care, healthcare and commuter Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • Discounts at local venues and businesses
  • International travel opportunities
