Kenworth, a PACCAR Company, is looking for a data engineer Intern to join the team. Data Engineering focuses on making possible fast, accurate, and reliable access to data. We build data pipelines, manage a data warehouse, and support the production use of our data. We advocate for leading data practices and make sure that our business users can make data driven decisions.

About the Team

As a Data Engineer, you will work with a team of data engineers from different locations with different backgrounds. This data engineering team focuses on solving Kenworth’s most important challenges by making data available to our end users and business intelligent teams. As part of a diversified global Fortune 500 company, the data engineering team works on a huge variety of projects, from building data ingestion pipelines to data quality products, data integration services and data platforms. Job Responsibilities & Projects

• Build, monitor, and update data pipelines that perform complex ETL functions
• Collaborate on the design and implementation on business facing data products

Required Experience & Skills

• Some hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Glue, etc…
• Some hands-on experience with GitHub
• Knowledge of RDBMS platforms, such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and Postgres
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask within a fast-paced environment
• Communicate clearly with team members, technical support groups, and management

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Understanding of Python or other programming languages
• Knowledge of and experience with reporting tools, such as Tableau and PowerBi

Education/Training

Previous experience building and deploying PCs and hardware preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
