About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Patient Safety Officer with a medical degree, a valid New York State License, and a minimum of 5 years of clinical and administrative experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and implementation of patient safety activities, with a focus on creating a robust patient safety culture, participating in root cause analysis, and tracking data for national patient safety goals. Key qualifications include residency training, board certification in a respective specialty, and a preference for a Master's degree in a relevant field. The role also involves supporting system-wide patient safety initiatives, coordinating safety surveys, and mentoring staff on safety goals and reporting. Applicants for the Chief Patient Safety Officer position at the company should possess strong leadership and change management skills, be certified in patient safety, and demonstrate superior organizational and project management abilities. The role requires a candidate with a desire to work with multiple stakeholders and the ability to remain positive and supportive in high-stress situations. The Chief Patient Safety Officer will also be expected to support the hospital in regulatory surveys, and emergency preparedness, and to regularly share safety improvements with front-line staff.
