COTAs bring therapy to life through daily connection with residents, helping them find confidence and function in everyday tasks. Their hands-on support, guided by close communication with OTs and the care team, helps create consistent progress and meaningful moments of independence.
*Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements and Responsibilities*
* Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
* Current state license and NBCOT certification (as applicable)
* Experience in long-term care or rehab preferred
* Provide therapy under OT supervision following care plans
* Record resident participation and changes in condition accurately
* Follow state and physician documentation guidelines
