Seeking a skilled carpenter with furniture making experience and an eye for details. The more experience the better but willing to train individuals with a steady hand. Woodworking: Proficiency in using hand tools (saws, chisels, planes), power tools (table saws, routers, sanders). Material Knowledge: Understanding of various wood types, laminates, and other materials used in cabinet making. Knowledge of wood species: maple, ash, walnut etc. Construction & Assembly: Ability to cut, shape, and join materials, assemble cabinet components, and install hardware (hinges, drawer slides, etc.). Finishing: Knowledge of sanding, staining, painting, spraying and applying sealants to achieve desired finishes. Reading Blueprints & Schematics: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Measurement & Calculations: Accurate measuring and calculation skills to ensure precise cabinet dimensions. Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues during the cabinet making process. Safety: Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a woodworking environment. Also, having the proper safety equipment (ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses). Time Management & Organization: Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Detail experience with installing cabinets, including leveling, securing, and ensuring proper functionality.
