Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Plant Manager, Cabinet Makers are responsible for fabricating custom millwork to meet Washington Woodworking Company’s high-quality standards and project specifications. Key Duties Follow work assignments provided by the Supervisor, Lead Person, Shop Supervisor, or Plant Manager while maximizing efficiency in time, materials, and equipment use. Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure precise fabrication. Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment, including saws, routers, and stationary machines. Construct and assemble cabinets, paneling, furniture, and other millwork per drawings provided by the drafting department. Ensure compliance with company and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision. Uphold industry standards, including AWI specifications, and demonstrate knowledge of materials such as: Wood species and grades Plywoods and particleboards Hardware, laminates, and veneers Manage workload efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining labor and material cost targets. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinet making (preferred). Strong ability to read and understand architectural millwork drawings. In-depth knowledge of millwork materials and industry standards. Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime as needed. Commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
